Happenings with the Hansons

This is the boring blog of life in a family with 4 boys...10, 8, and baby twins. Busy? yes; exciting? Only to the parents/family of the blogger..... but, if you insist on viewing...I hope you enjoy.

Batten down the hatches!

Spencer rolled yesterday! Time to lock down everything and block of all entries! LOL Corbin was well ahead of him, but still hasn't rolled! Spencer rolled yesterday- and then rolled again, and again..... time to baby proof!

They are doing really well eating. We're finishing up a week of barley cereal and before that was oatmeal and we introduced pears too. The previous week was rice, of course. The old standby. I only gave them pears because I had some "hanging around". They have their 6 month check up today and besides shots :-( we'll see how much the chubs' weigh, and get the ok to start other foods (tho I cheated a little with the pears! LOL)

Otherwise, things are settling into a routine now. They still don't sleep completely through the night, but they are close. Some days are better than others. Occasionally they like to sleep in, but then days like this morning they were up for the day at 6:30.

The last day of school is Friday, so Sammy is getting very excited. We're going to have lots of activities to keep him and us busy this summer. We have passes to the pool and the zoo, we have 3 month membership to the YMCA, a summer reading club and activities at the library, swim lessons, summer camp....it just goes on and on!

May days....

Haven't posted in a couple of weeks. Corbin is working really hard at rolling from back to belly! He gets almost all the way over- and if you give a slight nudge, he's there. But, once he's there, he just wants to roll back. =) Spencer hasn't quite figured it out yet, but he's pulling his knees up- so he's getting there.

We moved them into the nursery about 2 weeks ago. They no longer share a crib. The first night was rough on Mommy, she didn't get much sleep, but they both slept really well- until about 5am! We still get up at night between 3 and 5, but I guess 5am is considered sleeping thru the night (in whose definition?!) But, they go back to sleep for a few hours after that, so its ok!

School is almost out and we're winding down the year. Sammy is working on his year end project. Last year was Yu-gi-Oh! and this year its Pokemon. *sigh* Hopefully Sammy will want to research something about the real world soon! =)
